Calabash Bowl

Picked from Calabash trees, in Layou, St Vincent, this bowl exudes island vibes. Use to store your Island Organics skincare products or more traditionally as a dish for meals.

PROCESS

To make a bowl from a calabash, a gourd fruit is cut in half and the contents are scraped out. The calabash is then cleaned by soaking and scrubbing the shell. The calabash is then set out to dry. This creates the wooden appearance of the bowl.
